A question often asked is “What if Google/Amazon/Microsoft goes down? Our business will be stuck” .. to which we reply “That is very unlikely to happen however if it does, we have designed your systems to be resilient to network outage”
Today Amazon S3 Web Services (AWS) went down.
It started while our principal was on a webinar with one of our security partners. He wasn’t pleased.
It appears that the East Coast region is having some issues, our dashboards within AWS show at least 41 problems with services having “Operational Problems”.
This does not cause too much trouble with our infrastructure – we have triple redundancy across all three major services (AWS, GCP and Azure), along with resiliency within each service too.
Once we know more from Amazon, we will update you here.
